35TH IFATCA ASIA PACIFIC REGIONAL MEETING
SAFETY AND EFFICIENCY
The IFATCA APRM is an annual regional meeting between Air Traffic Control member associations and non-member associations of IFATCA, member and non-member associations of International Federation of Air Line Pilots' Associations (IFALPA) and invited airline and ground handlers’ representatives of the Asia Pacific to present and discuss on matters related to the safe and efficient day to day flight operations in the region. Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia will host the 2018 edition of this illustrious international gathering taking the baton over from Wellington, New Zealand in 2017.

IFATCA Asia Pacific Members

International Air Traffic Controllers Association (IFATCA)

IFATCA is an international collective of air traffic controller associations. It was established in 1961 and is the largest and most comprehensive representative body for air traffic control in the world. IFATCA was constituted in Amsterdam on 19th and 20th October 1961, as a result of the efforts of a group of air traffic controllers to federate and further the interests of the air traffic control profession at the international level. The member federations are divided into four regions which are the Africa & Middle East, Americas, Asia Pacific And Europe.

Malaysia Air Traffic Controllers Association (MATCA)

MATCA was established in 1985 by the pioneers of malaysian air traffic control to unite everyone in the profession and to strengthen the association, MATCA proudly joined IFATCA in 1988. Under tagline 'For Nation And Profession' MATCA maintains and enhances the development of the air traffic control profession in the aviation industry to guarantee the sovereignty of the malaysian airspace where it is continuously kept safe and well protected. With almost 1000 active air traffic controllers guarding the Malaysian FIR, MATCA PROUDLY WELCOMES DELEGATES FROM AROUND THE WORLD TO JOIN US IN KL FOR THE 35TH ANNUAL APRM.
